Golf season 2008
is in the books. A season delayed because of snow and hindered by
wind came to a breezy end on Monday, May 12. District golf was held
at Summerland Golf course near Ewing, Nebraska. Fourteen
teams participated, with the first 3 teams and top 10 individual
places qualifying for state tournament.
Golfing for the BEES shooting the lowest scores of the
team were Tanner Schumacher and Ben Skroch with 53's; followed by
Morgan Kauth and Tyler Abbenhaus with 55's; and Andrew Sternberg
with a 60. After 18 holes, Schumacher was lowest followed by
Skroch, Kauth, Abbenhaus, and Sternberg. Even though each golfer
has worked hard and improved through out the season, none will be
moving on to state play.
