FFA Promoting Harvest Safety
by Mr. Eisenhauer
November 09, 2009
With favorable harvest weather finally upon us, a farmer’s life has
become very hectic this past week. Many times getting the
crops out in a timely manner requires long hours. With those
long hours comes fatigue and impatience which occasionally leads to
carelessness and accidents.
Everyone needs to have a little break now and then, so with that in
mind, the FFA chapter is hosting a free popcorn break at the Battle
Creek Coop. As farmers haul their crop to the elevator, they
can grab a bag of popcorn to refresh themselves as they wait in
line to unload. Hopefully this can make a difference for many
of the people delivering corn and soybeans. Sometimes it’s
the little things that make a difference and this is our “little
thing” that we are offering to make a “big difference”. Hope
you enjoy it!
