Spelling Bee Results
January 25, 2012
The annual spell down was held Wednesday morning, January 25th,in the M.P.R. of the elementary school. Michaela Johnson was pronounced the winner in the 5th grade competition and Reece McFarland was the winner in the 6th grade. Michaela is the the daughter of Jamie and Mike Johnson and Reece is the son of Carrie and Jody McFarland. Runners-up for the contest were Marissa Dahlberg from 5th grade and Taylor Reineke from 6th grade.
Participating from 5th grade were Dylan Kauth,Mitchell Mackeprang, Marissa Dahlberg, Carolyn Nagengast, Michaela Johnson, Will Fehringer, Trenton Holz,and Seth Rogers .Those who participated from 6th grade were. Truman Lauck, Emily Foner, Reece McFarland, Jared Hornback, and Taylor Reineke.
The enunciator for the spelling bee was Pat Weberg and judges were Kris Schmeckpeper and Carolyn Oltjenbruns. Reece and Michaela will move on to Center in February for the county competition.
