After visiting with my administrative team and a few faculty members, I have made the decision to postpone the Spring Awards Night. Our concern for safety has led us to reschedule the event to Thursday, May 2 at 2:45 PM. We believe this adjustment will enable us to proceed with honoring our students' achievements while also allowing parents ample time to make necessary arrangements to attend. Regrettably, I understand that this change may inconvenience you, and for that, I sincerely apologize. Please know that prioritizing the safety of our students, faculty, and patrons remains our top priority. Thank you for understanding, be careful if are out in these conditions and stay safe.

Bloomfield Community, on Monday, April 8th, our Junior High and High School students, including those who typically go home for lunch, will be returning to the High School after their lunch break which is during the commencement of the solar eclipse event. In anticipation of this, the school will be issuing Solar Eclipse glasses to every student in the JH/HS. We want to emphasize this circumstance and highlight the potential hazards associated with viewing the event without suitable eye protection. Again, the school will furnish eye protection for all students, including those who normally go home for lunch. Consequently, JH/HS parents who do not wish for their child to participate in observing the event, even with the provided solar eclipse glasses, are required to complete an opt-out form, available on our website. In such instances, the school will arrange transportation for the student(s) from the elementary school back to the High School after lunch. However, it is important to note that in such cases, the student will still experience limited exposure to the beginning of the eclipse and asked to wear the glasses.
