Open House was an absolute success at the elementary school on Tuesday night! So much so that the multi-purpose room was standing room only! Here are some pictures from a great intro into the year. For anyone who missed a chance to get a photo at the photo op station it will still but up tomorrow morning! We can’t wait to see everyone to kick off the school year!
Day one of staff being back in the building was a success. Many of the staff were CPR trained by Mrs. Claussen and our very own Mrs. Hauger! After that the staff had an excellent session with Kellen and Erin from the ESU on effectively managing the classroom!

Dear BCS Families and Students,
We are excited to once again host a mandatory presentation for all families and students. This important event will take place on Monday, August 11th at 5:30 PM.
The presentation will focus on how parents, guardians, and families can support our school and student-athletes in creating a positive and meaningful sports experience. We are honored to welcome Mr. Darin Boysen, Executive Director of the Nebraska Coaches Association, who will share his presentation, “The Role of Parents in Education-Based Athletics.”
Mr. Boysen will discuss what families can expect before the season begins, during games and events, and after the season ends. His insights are valuable for anyone involved in school athletics.
Following the presentation, our Fall Sports coaches will hold their individual parent meetings. If your student plans to participate in any sport this year, we ask that you please plan to attend. This event will also serve as a great opportunity to showcase our new gym floor to students and the community.
If you are unable to attend, please contact Mr. Conroy at the school (402-373-4800) or by email at kconroy@blfdbees.org to schedule a time to review the presentation content.
Thank you for your continued support of our school and students!

Jacob Smith put on a good showing of defense and sportsmanship at the NEN All-star Classic football game Friday night! The red team lost but it was a perfect night for these all-star athletes to show off their abilities for a final time! Way to go Jacob!

Our preschool is in need of a plastic kitchen play set for the kiddos to enjoy during playtime! If anyone has one they’d be willing to donate or lend to us, we’d greatly appreciate it. Ideally, we’re looking for something in good condition and safe for young children.
If you have one you’re no longer using, please reach out to us! Thank you in advance for your support and generosity.
