Nebraska Extension Staff in Northeast Nebraska partnered with Knox County Extension to present the Secrets of Service Program. This program is an interactive entrepreneurship education-based program for 5th and 6th grade students. Three towns participated, including Verdigre, Niobrara, and Bloomfield, bringing 70 youth to this program. The workshop taught the importance of customer service in the workplace and responsible ethical behavior needed in the community and on the job. Youth had the opportunity to express their view on character in a business. The participants worked together to create and design a business selling pencils, learn marketing techniques, and have fun while learning together! The youth had a great overall experience! Thank you to all the schools who participated and to the teachers and staff who made this program a success!
