Dear Parents/Guardians,
As we begin the new school year, please note that Bloomfield Community Schools does provide families the opportunity to purchase student accident insurance on their student through Student Assurance Services, Inc.
This supplemental policy would assist with your out-of-pocket medical expenses (i.e. deductible) should your student sustain an accidental injury. Also, if you do not have any insurance on your student, this would be your primary insurance for accidental injuries. There is a variety of coverage options. Premiums are a one-time payment for the school year.

HIGH FIVE FRIDAY
This morning our elementary students were greeted with big smiles and high fives from the Bloomfield Volleyball Team! 🐝
Even after a late night at their jamboree, the girls showed up bright and early to encourage our younger Bees and spread school spirit. 💙

The Bloomfield football team starts the year off with a Soap & Gatorade Scrimmage. The game will begin at 6:00pm at Memorial Field at the fairgrounds. The Bee Boosters will also have a Burger Burn going from 5-7pm. Grab some soap or gatorade and head down to see the Bees show off all the hard work they have put in this summer. This event will not be livestreamed so head down to the field, grab a burger, and enjoy!
Head to the school to see the new gym and the new Queen Bees for the Volleyball Jamboree! The Queen Bees will take on Niobrara-Verdigre at 7pm Thursday night! Last Friday we kicked of High-Five Fridays again with the football team welcoming the elementary in the morning! This is such a fun tradition we started that both the students and the groups doing the welcoming enjoy!
There will be youth tackle football sign up on Tuesday, August 19 from 5pm to 6pm at the Bloomfield Community Center. This is for grades 4th- 6th. We will co-op with Wausa. You can get your sign up sheet from the elementary office or on Tuesday. Thanks and have a great weekend!

The class of 2026 posed for us on their last first day as a bee! We are excited to see the great things this class will accomplish this year!
Open House was an absolute success at the elementary school on Tuesday night! So much so that the multi-purpose room was standing room only! Here are some pictures from a great intro into the year. Day one of staff being back in the building was a success. Many of the staff were CPR trained by Mrs. Claussen and our very own Mrs. Hauger! After that the staff had an excellent session with Kellen and Erin from the ESU on effectively managing the classroom!

We are excited to once again host a mandatory presentation for all families and students. This important event will take place on Monday, August 11th at 5:30 PM.
The presentation will focus on how parents, guardians, and families can support our school and student-athletes in creating a positive and meaningful sports experience. We are honored to welcome Mr. Darin Boysen, Executive Director of the Nebraska Coaches Association, who will share his presentation, “The Role of Parents in Education-Based Athletics.”
Mr. Boysen will discuss what families can expect before the season begins, during games and events, and after the season ends. His insights are valuable for anyone involved in school athletics.
Following the presentation, our Fall Sports coaches will hold their individual parent meetings. If your student plans to participate in any sport this year, we ask that you please plan to attend. This event will also serve as a great opportunity to showcase our new gym floor to students and the community.

Bloomfield students in grades 7–12 and their parents/guardians are invited to stop by the school on August 4th or 5th for our Chromebook Agreement & Checkout Day!
📝 The process will be quick and simple:

💵 Pay the $20 annual technology fee (This is for all students regardless of free and reduced lunch status)
⚠️ Please Note: Due to a shipping delay, students will not receive their Chromebooks during checkout. Instead, their fully prepared device will be placed in a brand-new carrying bag and waiting for them in their locker on the first day of school!
This helps us make sure everything is ready and organized for a smooth start to the school year!

This summer on July 22, the Jr Bees basketball program is going to put on a one day camp and pool party.
Who: players going into 3rd-6th grade.
$5.00 per player.
When:
3rd-4th Graders: 10:30-12:00
5th-6th Graders: 1:00-2:30

Due to the weather the Youth football camp has been moved inside the Elementary multipurpose room. You may pick your student up at the elementary multipurpose room anytime or when the camp is over at 8:30pm. Thank you for your flexibility.
